What Is the Alpha Course

We are running an Alpha course starting on Monday 28th January 2019, in conjunction with Christ Church Manchester.

This will be held at Luther King House, Brighton Grove, Manchester, M14 5JP.   Free parking is available on site or on the surrounding streets .

Each session will begin at 7:30 p. m. with a complementary light meal and will finish at about 9:00 p. m.  The final session is on Monday 18th March.  In addition there will be a day time session on Saturday 2nd March.

To find out more, or to tell us you would be interested in coming, please email alpha @ southmanchester. net or phone 0161 432 6041.

Do you have questions about the meaning of life?

The Alpha course is your opportunity to discuss the answers to these questions that the Christian faith provides.

You will get the most benefit from the course if you commit to attending all of the sessions.  However, if this is not possible we would still encourage you to participate and we will make sure you can catch up on the content that you missed.

Each session consists of a complementary light meal for you to relax over and meet your fellow questioners.  There will be a video presentation on the issue being considered that evening, followed by an opportunity for discussion and questions.

The topics covered are:

Monday 28th January: Is There More to Life than This?
Monday 4th February: Who is Jesus?
Monday 11th February: Why Did Jesus Die?
Monday 18th February: How Can We Have Faith?
Monday 25th February: Why and How Do I Pray?
Saturday 2nd March: Who is the Holy Spirit?   What Does the Holy Spirit Do?   How Can I Be Filled with the Holy Spirit?
Monday 4th March: Why and How Should I Read the Bible?
